[ad_1]

The term ‘Vedic’ means something that relates to ‘Vedas’.

What are ‘Vedas’?

Vedas are the ancient Indian texts which contain information about various disciplines of study, and astrology is considered to be one of those disciplines. Indian astrology is now popular by the name of ‘Vedic Astrology’.

So what is Vedic Astrology, exactly?

‘Astrology’ as you know is the science of forecasting a person’s life, by the study of celestial bodies, present in the Universe. This is done with the help of Zodiac Signs, Palmistry, and Body Signs, etc. Vedic Astrology is nothing but another name of Indian Astrology, which is said to be five thousand years old.

How reliable are Vedic Baby names?

“Have you ever wondered how in Hindu calendar, dates of various festivals are fixed for a year? “

It is done by seeing the movements of the Sun and the Moon. And also movement of other celestial bodies like planets and stars etc. are also seen, before fixing a festival’s date.

Astrology says, various celestial bodies have an effect on our individual lives.

In outer space, Earth is surrounded by all these celestial bodies, this way a field of radiating, magnetic waves gets created between the two of us.

As Vedic astrologers gauge the intensity and effect of those ‘waves’, which can affect your baby’s life years.

Don’t know, what a Vedic baby name means? Here’s the answer-

It means a name which contains certain letters or syllables (phonic sound) of those letters, which have been formed after following certain norms of Vedic Astrology.

How these letters are found?

Let’s just assume the working of Vedic Astrology as a manufacturing process.

Method 1:

Baby names based on Birth Star

Meaning of Birth Star

In Hindi language, it is known as ‘Nakshatra’. Birth Stars are also called ‘Lunar Houses’. Lunar means something which relates to the moon. All in all, there are 27 Lunar Houses and in each of the house, several clusters of stars are present in it.

Method 2:

Baby names based on Zodiac Sign

Types of Zodiac Signs are Sun Sign and Moon Sign

Why ONLY the Sun and the Moon?

Sun has a fatherly figure and Moon has a motherly figure, in Indian Astrology. We exist because of the harmony between the two. This is also one of the reasons, why astrologers try to study their movement before announcing dates of festivals.

Our Solar System is surrounded by these constellations in the outer space. This means if our solar system is like a family living together in one house, where our family members are the Sun, the Moon, and other orbital planets. Then constellations of our solar system act like boundary walls of our house. In other words, constellations surround solar system.

Since the Sun and the Moon have a major role in astrology, this is why only their movement is seen, when they pass the constellations (zodiac signs).

Sun moves from one lunar house to another at a very slow speed, it takes almost a year’s time for moving into a next house. This means sun positions itself at one star, for a long period. Hence, the forecasts made using sun sign are yearly in nature.

While the Moon passes each lunar house in a short time (i.e. in two and ΒΌ days’ time). But Moon Sign helps us in knowing about one’s feelings and thoughts, while Sun Signs helps us in knowing about one’s personality and character traits.

Since our thoughts and feelings, only form our personality and character, astrologers seem to give importance to moon sign.

PS: The above two methods, are the most followed method for naming a baby.

How do we use those ‘letters’?

We use it by placing it at the beginning of a baby’s name.

How to find a baby’s birth number?

For numerology in Vedic Astrology, one needs baby’s birth date, that’s it. Then you need to add the numbers present in her birth date.

Suppose, your baby was born on 30 June 1990

Then you should add, date, month and year of her birth date, like this:

3+0=3

0+6=6

1+9+9+0=19 (Add it further, until you get a single digit) so, on adding, 1+9 we will get 10. And 1+0=1

After this, you can sum up the resultant single numbers above, the following way:

3+6+1= 10. On further addition, you will get your baby’s birth number as 1 (i.e. 1+0=1)

I hope you enjoyed knowing basics of Vedic Astrology used in Naming a newborn baby.
